We stayed here late July for nearly 3 weeks, it is quite a large site, and it would have been better if we had a larger pitch, once the awning was up and our VW van was parked next to that, we didn't have much room. All the facilities were very clean and shops on site sold everything!. Disco on site was popular with the kids, movie night for the younger kids, spanish with english subtitles! We ate once in the on-site restaurant, it was sufficient, pretty much processed food. The staff on reception could speak good english and were all very helpful. Noja itself had lots of shops, LUPA is the local supermarket in the centre, and there is a great market once a week too! We went horse -riding in Soano, it was worth it, 8 Euros each, you are guided through a wooded area with a few animals on route. The horses are well trained and cared for, you don't have to be an experienced rider as the horses are walking very slowly. There is a Go-Karting track just around the corner on the right hand side as you leave the campsite, this was a hit with the boys, proper petrol carts 15 Euros for 10 minutes!
The real highlight for us was the beach, which you access from the campsite. It really is a stunning view from Playa Joyel to Isla which is the next beach over, well worth a visit. While we were there the waves were ok to body board, you could hire paddle boards at Playa de Ris the next beach along or the campsite. The weather was great, we had a couple of overcast mornings that turned into beautiful days, most people didn't leave the beach until 6pm - 7pm at night. Just a tip if you have small kids to feed, all the restaurants went to didn't start to serve food until 8pm as the spanish eat very late compared to us. Mu husband and I took our 11 year old daughter and 17 year old son and they both thoroughly enjoyed it, we met lots of english and dutch families and had a great holiday, oh one more thing ! You have to go to Picos de Europa, it is breathtaking!!! Well worth the hour and a half to get there and the 2 hour wait for the cable car but wow it was something i'll never forget!!!!!! Hope this helps you :)
