Playa de Ris and Marisma de Joyel

Playa de Ris

The campsite has direct pedestrian access to the beach of Ris., Along it is located the beach. The beach forms a wide «shell», which with low tide allows the enjoyment of more than 40,000 square meters of fine and wonderful sand.

In high tides, it is possible to walk to the Isla de San Pedruco, With its small medieval chapel and its wild fig trees, inhabited by thousands of seagulls. Next to it is the island of Oliva and in the background are the peninsulas of Garfanta, Aguila and Moja de Rabo.

On this beach you can practice surfing, snorkeling, padel, kayaking, etc. In addition, the Ris Surf School is located there, where you can book surf lessons or rent equipment for it.

Ris Beach has become a benchmark for wave lovers, being this beach the main destination for surfers who come to this destination.

Another of the jewels that Noja has to offer for practicing this sport is El Brusco, located at one end of the beach of Trengandín, and considered by the surfers themselves to be one of the best waves in Europe.

For all these reasons, surfing is one of the preferred activities among the numerous sports activities that can be practiced in the municipality.

Here begins the so-called «coast walk», which runs along the coastline from this beach to that of Trengandín. The route is filled with small coves, passing through beautiful pine forests and reaching idyllic places such as La Punta de la Mesa or the beach of Pombera.

Its north orientation favors the entry of waves and the practice of surfing and other sports, including fishing. The beach has showers and lifeguard service in summer. Several surf schools can also be found on Playa de Ris, offering classes or renting surf equipment.

The beach of Ris has lifeguard service during the summer season, as well as a surf school and water sports and diving companies for the enjoyment of tourists.
