Reservations and season
We are open from Easter until the end of September. The dates may vary from one season to the next, so we recommend confirming them at the reception before planning your trip.
Reservations are made only on this official website, both for pitches and for accommodation managed directly by the campsite. This is the campsite's only official booking page. Within the grounds there are also mobile homes owned by foreign tour operators, which are managed independently and with their own conditions; we do not manage those reservations.
To camp in plots without parents, you must be 18 years old and to stay alone in mobile homes without parents you must be 24 years old.
*Restrictions may apply on bridges, holidays, or during the summer season.
It depends on the accommodation and the dates:
- Mobile homes: minimum 2 nights in general. During Holy Week and from June 20 to September 15, the minimum is 7 or 14 nights for reservations made in advance, depending on the dates.
- Plots: In July and August, minimum 7 nights.
Mobile homes: check-in from 4:00 PM and check-out between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
Plots: entry from 13:00 and exit between 8:00 and 12:00. In low season, entry can be made as early as 8:00.
In both cases, if the scheduled arrival date is not reached before 22:00 h (and without informing the Reception), the reservation will be automatically cancelled for no-show, without the right to a refund. Late arrival must be communicated to the Reception and can never be later than 23:30 h.
- Mobile homes: 50 % % of the amount of the stay for reservations made before June 19, and 100% % for reservations made after June 20.
- Plots: 100% % in the middle and high season; for the rest of the dates, no advance payment is required.
Payments are made by bank card through this website.
Yes, always in writing to info@playajoyel.com and on behalf of the holder of the reservation.
- Cancellation of the mobile home: with more than 21 days' notice, the paid amount is refunded minus 50 € in management fees; within 21 days before arrival, the amount paid is forfeited.
- Cancellations of pitches: with more than 7 days' notice, the paid amount is refunded minus 50 € in management costs; within 7 days before arrival, the amount paid is forfeited.
- Non-refundable rates do not allow for refunds under any circumstances.
When making the reservation, a cancellation and interruption insurance can be contracted as an optional service. Modifications that reduce the value of the stay are only accepted up to 45 days before arrival.

Two options: pitches for those arriving with their own caravan, tent or campervan, and more than 140 rental accommodation (mobile-homes) within the grounds, ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms.

The Brisa, Duna Premium and Marina Premium models have a larger garden and a location close to the beach entrance. The price of each accommodation includes up to the specific number of people; exceeding that capacity, including babies and children, is not permitted.
They are equipped for cooking and everyday use: kitchen utensils (cazuelas, pots, pans, tableware, cutlery, glasses, basic utensils), microwave, drip coffee maker, TV, covered terrace, garden table and chairs, two hammocks, drying rack and a welcome kit with basic cleaning products. Each bed includes a blanket.
They don't have a toaster, juicer, blender or slow cooker, nor do they have a barbecue.
The accommodations include a blanket per bed, but no sheets or towels. We offer a linen and towel rental service for those who need it.
We do not assign a specific number or location when booking. Upon arrival, a free accommodation is assigned according to the reservation.
No. They are smoke-free accommodations. Smoking inside incurs a €100 cleaning fee.
The final cleaning cost of the accommodation is 50 € (does not include the washing of the dishes). Upon arrival, a 100 € deposit is requested by card, which is returned upon departure after checking the condition of the accommodation and rental equipment.
Plots
They measure between 75 and 90 square meters. There are more shaded areas and others that are more sunny.
All of them have an electrical supply (1320 W, 6 amps) and an antenna socket for TV. There are water sources scattered throughout the premises and chemical toilet drains at various points. The showers and sinks have free hot water.
It is totally recommended to go to the campsite always with a previous reservation. You cannot choose a specific pitch.
In July and August, the maximum permitted length is 7.50 meters.
Facilities and services
Yes, we have outdoor pools and a jacuzzi. The pool opens at the beginning of the season and is expected to close around September 20, depending on the weather. Bathing caps are mandatory. The pool has a lift chair for people with reduced mobility. If you have special needs, please ask at the reception.
Tennis and paddle courts (with a fee), as well as large sports areas (football, basketball, etc.), children's playgrounds and outdoor green areas.
Yes. We have a bar-restaurant (Damai Surf Bar) And a supermarket with food and beach and camping items. In July and August, there is also an ice cream stand and a chicken grill.
We offer paid Wi-Fi. Coverage may be affected by vegetation or obstacles in the environment; for intensive use (video calls, teleworking), we recommend using your own data plan.
Yes, we have a self-service laundry room with washing machines and dryers. It works with 1€ coins.
Only at the charging point equipped for electric vehicles (for a fee). Charging is not permitted at the outlets on the pitches or mobile homes, which are not suitable for it. If the customer does not observe this rule and a fire occurs, he/she will be solely responsible.
Our mobile homes are not adapted for wheelchairs. If you have specific needs, please indicate them when booking and we will do our best to accommodate them, although we cannot guarantee them unless confirmed in writing beforehand.
From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., uninterruptedly.
Activities and families
In July and August we offer a children's club every day and a wide range of children's events. In addition, we have children's playgrounds and an animal park within the grounds.
In the animal park you can see, among other species, native cows, bulls, deer, dwarf goats, pigs, peacocks, ostriches, ducks and chickens. The opening hours can be consulted at the reception, as the visit is not available every day.
Rules of coexistence
No. Dogs are not allowed in the entire resort, nor are any animals allowed inside the mobile homes.
All visits must be registered at the reception accompanied by the person staying at the campsite and the corresponding fee must be paid. The campsite management reserves the right to refuse any visit on days of high traffic such as in summer or during Holy Week.
From 00:00 to 8:00 a.m., absolute silence is maintained. Outside of that time, we ask you to keep the volume down out of respect for the other campers.
The access gate for vehicles remains closed from 00:00 to 8:00 a.m. Those planning to enter or leave during that time must park their car in the outdoor parking area. The maximum speed within the campsite is 10 km/h. The use of electric scooters is completely prohibited within the campsite.
There are two common barbecue areas. Each person brings their own grill, and only charcoal is allowed. Barbecues cannot be made on the terraces of the mobile homes, and on windy days or very hot days their use may be restricted to prevent fires.
Location and surroundings
In the coastal town of Noja (Cantabria), next to the beach of Ris, with direct pedestrian access to the beach.
The campsite is located along the beach itself in Ris, with direct access by foot. During low tide, the beach reveals more than 40,000 square meters of sand.
It is a protected natural space integrated into the Trasmiera Ecopark that surrounds the campsite. The Victoria and Joyel wetlands are home to numerous birds, such as kingfishers, common herons, imperial eagles and spoonbills. From the campsite it is possible to walk the marsh path and visit the Molino de Mareas in Santa Olaja.
The beach of Ris is a popular destination for surfing, and there are schools and equipment rental services there. Nearby places include Santander, Santillana del Mar, Laredo and the Cabárceno Nature Park.
How to get there
From the A-8 motorway, take exit 184/185 (Beranga, Noja, Isla) and continue along the CA-147 road towards Noja. When you reach the village, at the entrance roundabout, follow the signs for the Ris beach and go down the entire Ris Avenue until you reach the beach.
